Refund Policy
Refunds can take up to three weeks to be processed
Automatic Refunds
• HomeWAV will automatically initiate a refund in the following scenarios:
• If the inmate has been released from a facility for at least 72 hour;
• If the facility has been decommissioned;
• If the visitor deletes the inmate;
• If the inmate deletes the visitor; or
• If 180 days of continuous inactivity have passed.
• Refunds may take up to three weeks to be received.
Refunds Requiring Manual Processing
• Includes refunds that did not automatically refund after 72 hours to the credit card once the inmate was deleted from the jail or from the visitors contact list.
• Funds transferred from commissary to HomeWAV, there is no other form of payment on the account to be refunded, and the inmate has been released.
• All funds will go back to the original credit card transactions.
• Cash payments left on the inmates account will require a refund check form filled out by the inmate.
• Checks can take up to three weeks to be processed. Some may take longer. If the funds were added by a credit card that would not accept the refund, the funds will be held for eight weeks before refunding.
Inmate General Funds
• An inmate can fill out a refund form to request a check when cash or commissary transfers are left on his/her account. Checks will only be issued if the inmate has been released from the HomeWAV system.
• Refunds may take up to three weeks to be received.
